Better together

Hey you guys!!

Melbourne is nolonger a sunny paradise. Yesterday we experienced our first real autumn day here. It was rainy, cold and windy. All three things that usually make you kind of depressed and irritated. But we were smiling in the rain. Along with autumn Jack Johnson came to Melbourne.

Aussies sure love Jack Johnson, lots of people showed up when the gates opened.

Me, before the concert. Look how happy I am!

We were standing in the rain for a good 3 and 1/2 hours before he came on stage but as soon as he started playing we felt his warmness and the music he played was like a warm hawiian summer breeze caressing my cold cheek. His voice was smooth, his band was amazing. And it was an overall top 10 live music experience. He played all the songs we wanted to hear. Both old ones and some from the new album. His Keyboardist was really something else. He could play all insturments in the world (at least it looked like it) and he had such a cool voice! They were so good together! Jack was as down to earth as I expected him to be. He came out before the starting acts just because he felt sorry for us standing there in the pouring rain. He played an introducing song and talked for the environmental organisations that supported his show. I thing it's the coolest thing that he is so aware and supportive of environmental stuff. I admire him
so much for that.

Jackie in front of thousands of fans.

One thing that was a little bit unfortunate was that we had lawn tickets... which only meant that we were about 50 meters from the stage and could not get any closer. If you ever go to live shows at the Myer Music Bowl here in Melbourne, be sure to get seated tickets because you don't have to sit down it only means you are closer to the stage. Our internet is so slow! Haven't been able to upload the videos I took at the show yet.. Will post them as soon as possible.

Sitting, waiting, wishing...

Hi guys!

Do you want to know something outrageously cool? On Wednesday I am going to see Jack Johnson live here in Melbourne. Ahhhhhhh... Can you imagine how lucky I feel right now? I hope the concert is low key down to earth and pure hawaiian lovelyness :) It's an outdoor event in the Royal botanic gardens and we have "lawn tickets" wich can't be anything else but down to earth :)

3 songs I hope to hear on Wednesday:

Jack Johnson - Better together

The most romantic lyrics there is...

Jack Johnson - Taylor

Loving the way he plays with words in this song like: "Peter Patrick pitter patters on the window..." Childish I know but it works for me :)

Jack Johnson - Bubble toes

This is such a cute song. I love the way it is obviously unfinished as he is explaining in the beginning of this clip "I never intended to have songs that said la da da da da da". I actually think it is one of his best songs probably because it's intentions is not to be big or anything it's just a god dammned good song!

Promise to provide you with a good review and pictures after the show!

You're not alone

Hey there,
Yesterday was a good day for CoolyTwisted. Cooly visited a new favourite place in Melbourne: Espy the live music club at the Esplanade hotel in St Kilda. That place was unbelieveable. Free entry and at least 3 stages with live music. We were just walking around hearing local bands playing while drinking beer and enjoying ourselves. We will go back there on the 4th of April and see Operator please live. It's a teenager Australian band that I am curious about.
Yesterday I got the chance to see the local singer/songwriter Nyssa Bradsworth play live. Her voice caught my attention straight away and her songs were melodic and well written. Unfortunatly people was standing too far away from the stage. We felt bad for the girl singing so beautiful. Let's go up front I suggested to the others. And so we did, and I'm glad we did because afterwards a few more people came up closer to the stage. I wanted her to feel appriciated and not lonely up there...
You have to hear this. Click here to visit her myspace. Listen to the song "Hurricane" now!

Still Take You Home

A genious was born in England 1971.

Do you know who i'm talking about? You should...think hard!

1. Who's the best singer-songwriter ever?
2. Who was the lead singer of the most amazing band ever (Oasis comes first, ofcourse)?
3. Who can make you feel what you've never felt before?
4. Who can make your heart beat faster and faster it almost scares you?

I'm talking about Richard Ashcroft!
He's so amazing and his lyrics is on of a kind! No one can do what he does...he's a genious!
I've been to many concerts in my life, but i still haven't seen everything...i haven't seen Richard Ashcroft. It would be a dream to see him and i'm going to...believe me!

Cast No Shadow...Oasis dedicated this song to Richard Ashcroft:

The song was dedicated to The Verve singer, and close friend of the band, Richard Ashcroft. The opening lines of the song - "Here's a thought for every man, who tries to understand what is in his hands" - are similar to those in the refrain of The Verve's song "History" ("In every man, in every hand, in every kiss, you understand that living is for other men, I hope you do understand"), of which Gallagher is a huge admirer (he provided handclaps on "History" during recording).

This is one of his best songs...take a good listen and feel the power!

Who's that girl?

Ever heard about Robyn?

She was that teenager swedish girl singing "Do you really want me?" back in the 90's while boys fell in love and girls either wanted to be like her or want her to vanish from the face of this earth.

Today she is so much more than that. With her own record label : Konichiwa records, she has grown into an artist with outrageously cool style both in her music and clothing. The only thing that's still the same about Robyn is her strong and beautiful voice. I have seen her live once in Malmö some years ago. On April 3 she is coming to Melbourne! CoolyTwisted will be on front row for you guys :) Cool huh?

Robyn live - Princebandroom April 3, Melbourne

My kind of guy

When you are a live concert nerd the ultimate question that gets thrown around a lot is: "What's the best live performance you've ever seen?" I have been lucky enough to see Kaiser Chiefs live twice. Not once have they let me down. They deliver every time with that kind of energy that makes you jump around like a lunatic! I have never had so much fun at a live concert. And afterwards when you are soaked in your own sweat (others too) and the adrenaline is pumping through your veins - that is like the best drug in the world. Pure happiness!

I love taking pictures of Ricky Wilson. He is the best crowd surfer and stage jumper there is.
This is my best shot of him in action:

loving the way he is swinging the microphone
(Kaiser Chiefs live KB-hallen, Copenhagen)

The adrenaline rush after each Kaiser Chiefs concert must be good for their money making business since it have made me buy merchandise every time. Ever had the feeling that you have to have a souvenir to remember one of the most amazing nights in your life? And the best part is that the t-shirts are actually pretty cool. :)

Cooly and Twisteds first Kaiser Chiefs t-shirts. Kind of cocky to compare themselves to the Beatles? I think it's cool. First came John & Paul then came George & Ringo and then came the Kaiser Chiefs keyboard player Peanut :) No doubt!

This one I bought after their performance at Kb-hallen.

If you still haven't had enough of Kaiser Chiefs check out the video we posted two posts ago. "Na na na na na" when Ricky goes wild!

See ya later mate!

You Gotta Roll With It!

I am the biggest Oasis fan in the world! Ok...I don't know, but I like to think so :)

And yes...I've seen them live...two times and it was amazing!!!

When I first came to the show I was like:

-"I can't stand people who begins to cry and screaming like freaks!!"

But when i realized that I was going to stand like 3 meters away from Liam, I became one of them!

OH MY! It was the best day of my life! I've waited 10 years for this and know I was finally there...to see the best rockband ever!!

I could'nt believe it! And to be honest...I still can't sometimes. It feels so unreal that I have seen them two times.

Oasis must be the only band who can just stand there and do nothing, but still it's the most amazing thing you've ever seen! They've got so much attitude and they don't give a shit! It's so cool and you can just feel the energi inside you!
